Frosty morning when I woke up on the dry river bed, nice sunrise over the mountains.

Earliest departure yet despite tailpack faff. Took wrong turn and cams off dirt track back onto main road. Nice and fast. I’d ridden further than planned the day before so would
Make ouzarett in good time so I wanted to ride on some dirt roads. Tried to cut across on some tracks back to the old dirt road. Ended up walking for 20 mins along dry river bed, then clambering through fields. Eventually found a nice dirt track back to the old road. Annoyingly it was paved!! Went through some nice villages but way hillier and slower than the main road. So many kids. Starting to get annoying. Got back on the main road just before Agdz, stopped for standard coffee and omelette. Crazy Dutch oaps extremely excited about a kasbar down the road. I’ve seen enough mud buildings now!

Set off ready for the big climb. It was a beast! Was hoping for a nice descent down the other side all the way into ouzarette but it didn’t last long. Lots of small climbs and barely any fast descents. I’d built ouzarette up to be a really nice place. Was looking forward to it and thought about taking a rest day. Riding through didn’t seem to be that amazing. I’d arrived early so quick shower and then off to explore. Coffee in the square, quick look around the souq then a meal at the no.1 restaurant on trip advisor. It was really good! Big meze and tasty tagine. Plus TWO beers.
