This morning we went to IHOP (International House Of Pancakes), my gosh, I now know why Americans are so overweight, the food is so cheap, come to think of it, everyone in that place was overweight. Food was pretty good, got French toast, poached eggs and bacon strips with a hash brown, along with that came Pancakes as well, less than $10. We were all pretty full after that, which I guess is good as it meant we didn't need to get anything at the Baseball game.

Off to the LA Dodgers vs Arizona Diamondbacks baseball game next, not a cloud in the sky and probably somewhere around the 33 degrees Celsius, based on the reading from the car in Fahrenheit, hard to tell for sure as I can't just ask Siri like I normally do (those I you who have iPhones will know Siri) as I don't have a data plan and there was no wifi.

We got some stuff at the gift shop, even got a baseball signed by some of the LA Dodgers, don't ask me who they are, I wouldn't be able to tell you.

After about 3 hours in the scorching heat, the game was over, unfortunately the LA Dodgers lost and didn't even get to a 10th innings due to the amount of runs behind being to high to be able to win.

We all put sunscreen on before the game began, but unfortunately I missed one part on myself an that ended up getting burnt. But it's good to know that the sunscreen I did have lasted the full 3 hours pretty well.

With the game being over its time for the 6 hour drive back to LA... I got the luck of the first third of the drive (NOT). The road was about 140 miles of straight road with nothing around except cars an the sun pouring straight in through the front windscreen.

One good things is I was able to drive a bit quicker than what we are allowed to in NZ as the speed limit on the motorway is 75 miles (120kms). To be honest, the way the Americans drive actually pretty good, they all seem to be very polite in letting each other pass. Also, all the slow vehicles drive in one lane (like trucks) unless passing, it seems to make things run so smoothly.

I've seen this kind of thing before I the Middle East and thought it makes a heap of sense, however I can't picture NZ ever doing this. For one thing, we don't have enough double lane roads. One of the biggest things to get use to is people turning right at an intersection can pretty well much turn right, even on a red light as long as the road is clear, if your puzzled about that, remember they drive on the right side of the road in the USA. It would be the equivalent of us being able to turn left at a red light, as long as there wasn't any traffic coming from the right.

Well almost back in LA now, 10:30pm at night, about 30 minutes away. This is our last night altogether a the others fly out at about 4pm tomorrow. Original plan was to go to Knotts Berry farm tomorrow, but we aren't going to do that now. I'm not too concerned about that though.

I actually have a full day left tomorrow as I don't fly out until about 1:30am on the 14th. I'm not exactly sure what I will do with the 8 hours or so I'll have too myself, perhaps I'll get to an Internet Cafe. It was suggested I go to Knotts Berry Farm by myself, but it wouldn't be the same, and like I'm said, I'm not too concerned if I miss that.

The next part of my trip will take me to Central America, however it looks like there has been a change to the starting point of my trip so I may need to get a new transfer and other documentation printed before I leave tomorrow.
