Viva Las Vegas Day 7 12/11/06Ok so we have arrived in Sin CityThey even have slot machines in the airport. We are waiting about an hour for our bags to come out so I went over to ask where they were and was told that no bags from buffalo were on that plane! They will be on the next one which will arrive in 2 hours! all I wanted to do was go back to the hotel and have a shower then go out, now we have go back to the room and wait for the bags to turn up. We had a little look around our casino it was crazy its called the Circus Circus and there’s all these rides in the hotel and circus performers and we are right on the strip which is brilliant with all its neon lights. At 3.30 am the bags finally arrived but thank god they didn’t get put on the wrong flight to somewhere else. Day 8 we had a little explore today went around all the major casinos Caesars Palace, MGM Grand and the Mirage. They were all amazing but really tacky and in the Mirage casino there’s a glass booth. With a white lion inside it looked really bored and loads of people were banging on the glass. I thought it was really cruel. We had a bit of a nightmare with our train ticket today as well we were planning to pick up our ticket from the Las Vegas airport but there’s no counter so I phoned them up and they said what we need to do is get a train to Flagstaff (5 hours) to pick up the tickets then get a train to San Francisco from there (10 hours) I was not up for that so we bought a plane ticket so we are flying on the 15th from Vegas to San Francisco it takes 2 hours so a lot better and it cost 60 quid so not too bad. We just stayed in the Circus Circus that night having a go at the slot machines and that, I won about $5 dollars then me and Kris had a go on the wheel of fortune where we won $40 dollars it was well good and if your gambling, girls walk about taking drink orders, all drinks are free all you need to do is give a tip. So me and Kris would pretend to gamble get loads of drinks then tip $1 about 40p so it was a cheap night out.Day 9 we went to a 50s diner today and all the waitresses and waiters take turns singing 50s song it was well cool I thought I was in Happy Days. Went out to all the major casinos again tonight. We saw a show outside Treasure Island casino it was a ship battle between pirates and another shipThen we went and saw the gondolas at the Venetian which is mad and looks really goodThe best casino has to be NEW YORK NEW YORK; outside it has all the sights of New York. The Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge and inside it all looks like the streets of NY with delis and things like that, it made me miss New York it was so good. We then went to the Coyote ugly bar where it was buy one get one free but none of the girls where dancing on the bar so it was a bit boring after this we went to hooters for something to eat, all the girls where really tight Hooters t-shirts I wanted to get a picture but I didn’t want to look like a perv! We had a little gamble on the roulette I was winning for a bit but didn’t walk away until it was all gone but it was a good night.

15/11/06 we had to wake up 5am this morning to go on our trip to The Grand Canyon we got a helicopter there and went down to the bottom for a champagne picnic (only the best for us!) It was amazing great views and me and Kris sat in the front so we had the best seats we also went past Lake Mead and the Hoover dam. We are getting the fight to San fran today so another busy day.
