We had two days in Valencia, the birthplace of paella, lovely white sand beaches and a clean and new looking city. We filled our time drinking sangria, eating cured meats and practising our Spanish on the locals with varying degrees of success.
They do these set lunches everywhere which are fairly cheap for a lot of food, we found a cute little place near the central market for our 2 hour lunch, we felt quite spoiled! Jolly tried a trio of the local Spanish sausages - i'm noticing a theme here.
Next was 2 days in Alicante and the surrounding area which feels like a beach holiday town. We're spending most of our time swimming and enjoying the nice beaches, peppered with the obligatory explorations around town. Sarah also discovered a serve your self frozen yoghurt store, you can imagine the excitement, as many toppings as you like.
