Monday - CRIKEY. We enjoyed a mammoth day at Australia zoo. Maria fed an elephant, I fed a kangaroo and we both patted koala bears. We watched two croc shows and wandered around admiring the many exhibits at Australia zoo. In the evening we strolled along the Southbank which is across Brisbane river and sat in a cafe engaging in the pommie activity of drinking tea.
Tuesday - As we stood outside of Brisbane's city Hall having just gone round the museum we took a moment to look up at the skyscrapers. Looking upwards Maria spotted another Ernst & Young office. Looking more carefully we realised the building was in fact next to where we're staying.
After enjoying BLTs we headed to the Lone Pine Koala sanctuary which is the biggest koala sanctuary in the world. Maria finally got to hold a koala bear and I also managed to hold a chick. No comparison. Maria's face was one of excitement and determination as she carefully cuddled the koala bear. Tomorrow we are moving on to Noosa, a place famed for its white sandy beaches.
Ps. A big shout out to our parents who have now been married for 25 years! Enjoy Florence!
