Starting our second day in Vienna we had a slow start with a quiet breakfast and a late departure from the boat. Today we visited the Sigmund Freud museum which is located at the location of his old consulting rooms and residence. This visit was a must for Nicole.

Following the visit to the museum we continued to explore Vienna. Given the extremely could temperatures it was important that we find a coffee house for some much needed warmth. We found a very typical elegant coffee house and enjoyed a cup of melange and some cake.

We then returned to the ship for a short rest before we took a short coach trip to Bratislava, the Capital of Slovakia. The town was typical of the many we have seen in the cruise with a mixture of historical buildings and more modern additions. The town boasted the usual fortifications and churches. Given the weather it was time for hot chocolate and beer. We found a nice establishment in the cellar of a building. We couldn't get over how inexpensive this was. We then returned to the ship for our overnight cruise to Budapest.
