We arrived in Parana in the early afternoon and soon found a cheap hotel. Once we have checked in and dropped our bags we decided to head down to the waterfront where there was suppose to be a selection of places to eat. The walk was a fair distance so by the time we arrived we were more than hungry for a late lunch/early dinner. When we got down there we found a distinct lack of restaurants and, even more dismaying, those which did exist were shut. Once we had arrived back to our hotel we were absolutely famished to we made our way to the supermarket where we bought some things to make up some sandwiches in our room. We also bought a bottle of wine and a couple of beers which we drank in our room whilst watching a movie on our laptop. After the movie it was just about late enough to acceptably go to sleep. The following day we decided to try our luck in the centre of town for lunch, we walked around for about an hour and came across a cafe which was situated on one corner of the main square. We had a fairly average lunch in there but thankfully it was rather large so would keep us going most of the day. With very little information on what to do in Parana we wandered around some more and then headed back to our hotel. We again popped to the shops to buy a couple of bits and pieces before heading out in the early evening for a drink before grabbing some dinner. We walked in to a bar which happened to be showing the latter stages of France v Ireland in a world cup qualifier to we managed to watch Thierry Henry cheat Ireland out of a world cup place. With the drinks we ordered in the bar they kept giving us bar snacks so after having been in there for a couple of hours we decided to give dinner a miss and just head back to our hotel. The next day we were up relatively early to catch the bus from Parana to Buenos Aires where we planned to spend a good few days. I will update on BA soon.
