An early morning ferry gave us a beautiful crossing through the National Park of hundreds of dotted islands. A bus ride followed by another by another boat (are you feeling my love for public transport still!) and we arrive on Phi Phi I couldn't help but just look and only imagine a snippet of what the people must have gone through with the Tsumami with absolutely no escape! However, landing on the island was nothing how I imagined...redevelopment seems to be goi...

Today Janine and I went our separate ways...no more travel buddy L I get on the ferry for Ko Pha-Ngan to meet Grah and Rach. We get a long-tail round the other side of the island in search of a waterfall and a rock which the King had scribed into (sounds like one of Dad's missions!). Trekking up hill in blistering heat and worn out flip flops is not recommended. We lose all signs for the rock, but keep going (uphill) regardless, until, like a sign from God direct...

Arrived at Samui again with no acommodation...(note to self book in advance in future!) found a place, then familiarised ourselves with the main 'strip', our surroundings, and the constant smell of drains...urgh! passed the day very easily then treated ourselves to a thai massage (without oil!) Our evening entertainment was a Lady-boy caberet show...very interesting!!! Janine spent the afternoon on a Thai cooking class, whilst I waited in anticipation to taste he...

Arrived after another public transport adventure, only this time having frozen to death by air-con in our recliner seats! (...again, will update further when I'm prepared to be friends with public computers!)
