G'day from Freemantle in Ozzie land just on outskirts of Perth. It was a bit of an adventure getting here yesterday. Planes, trains and automobiles!!! I won't bore you with all the details but lets just say I was left standing on the highway with about 200 other people waiting for train replacement bus service - but I was bursting for the toilet!!! It did work out fine in the end but it was a close call!!!

It was nice then after that somewhat uncomfortable experience, I was met by a friendly face. My roommate - Frieda! We headed out for a few drinks and a bite to eat, it was great to finally have my first conversation of the week!! This morning we were up fairly early as Frieda was checking out but we went for an amazing breakfast (photo's to follow). As Frieda said "Muesli made with much love!" (you'll see what I mean when you see it!!)

Today I think I must have visited most of the tourist sites in Freemantle, I've been to Bathers bay, the harbour the indoor markets, chilled out in the nearby park and did a guided tour of the prison!!! I also treated myself to lunch/dinner at the harbour - fish and chips (and a beer) from the best chippie in Perth! Its a hard life but som'day's got to do it!!!!

Think I'm heading out with Angela (my other roommate) tonight and a few others from the hostel so hopefully that should be good!!! Will try to be back at a reasonable time, I have booked to go to Rottnest Island tomorrow and I've already arranged my bike hire so there will be no drink driving!!!
