Bangkok
The train journey from Nokthai to Bangkok was actually really good I had my own cabin and it didn't even feel like the train was moving. The food on there was really good as well. On the way to the train I met 2 lads from England that lived in Spain they were traveling around Asia as well. They were gonna stay in Bangkok for 1 night so we decided to get a room together we spent most of the night on the train playing cards was a good laugh
The train arrived in Bangkok around 6.30 in the morning. We got a cab straight to the Koh San to find a hotel. As this was my third time in Bangkok I thought I would show the boys and Perrine and phoebe around… I was too late Perrine rung me at 7am still drunk so I guess she had settled in!! That day was spent on the Koh san and at the MBK… about the 5th time I'd been there already! I promised everyone I would show them pat pong! I still can't believe girls could play a trumpet and shot darts through their bits!! The girls were in absolute shock and hysterics! After a few we went to a little club and then went for street food!
After a night at a ping-pong show everyone was feeling a bit hung over the next day and the boys (Jamie and Henry) had a bus to get! We spent the morning doing not a lot just eating really until Perrine decided to rent out a little salon that I could use to chop her hair off… I can't believe how interested the Thai's were at me working! That night was spent on the Koh san eating 50p dinners on the street (best food ever)
Our third night in Bangkok and last I decided to have a boys night out with a few lads I met in Laos so I showed them the real Bangkok and took them to nana plaza…. the less said the better! All I can say is the lads were well shocked and impressed! I feel like a tour guide now in Bangkok!! I had a sober night as the next day we were catching a flight to Krabi to go to my favorite place in Thailand Railey!!!!
Railey
We arrived at Krabi airport and Nang (my friend from Diamond cave) came to meet us at the airport and take us to Railey! We arrived there around 6.30pm and it was a very low tide so we had to walk about 1.5km to the shore with all our bags including a massive suitcase extra full of Perrine and Phoebe's presents! Well it didn't matter as we had arrived for 8 days of sunshine and chilling out!!
That night the girls met their friends from Australia and Nang and me caught up and had dinner. I've decided after tonight to have a week detox of pure exorcise and no alcohol! I was going to start to learn Thai boxing!
I couldn't start the boxing until the day after so the next day I just spent all day reading on the beach and just chilling out! I would start doing boxing for 6 days 2 hours every morning until I left. All for just 400 baht a day (about 6 quid) that night we all went for an Indian the girls, their mates and me again having a chilled one.
8am… I got up early to go for a run on the beach and then start boxing at 9.30. I was training with a professional Thai kick boxer who was so small yet so strong. He taught me really well for the next 6days by the end I couldn't move I was so tired! The kicks are probably the hardest to do, as you have to be very flexible. But it was a brilliant experience and got me back in some kind of shape and I felt great. As well as doing that on the 2 Saturday's I was there they were spent playing 3 a side football with my Thai friends. So quick and skilful!
The girls left after about 6 days to fly back to Kuala Lumpur all we had done since arriving was nothing (just sat on the beach was so good!) after saying our goodbye's I spent the day with Nang and the waiters I ended up cutting about 7 people's hair for them and we played cards. For the first time since going away I felt like I was settling in.
On the Friday 2 day's before I left I had my last boxing session and then Nang who had the day off took me to Krabi to show me around when we arrived he took me to a proper local restaurant, it was probably the best Thai food I have had since I'd been away! He showed me how to eat the 'local' way after eating spicy food eats the cold vegetables… so good!!
We spent the day driving around Krabi he took me to get some proper Thai boxing shorts and introduce me to a few of his friends. Before we left we went to the food market so Nang could buy dinner for us. We went back to Railey and sat playing more cards and playing pro evo on his PS 2! Then his wife prepared us traditional Thai dinner and again it was amazing! Some of the best since I'd been away!
On the Saturday after 6 days of boxing (12 hours) I took the day off to just relax on the beach! Henry and Jamie came to Railey for the day as well so I showed them around the place (again I felt like a tour guide) we climbed view point and I could sense they had the same wow feeling I did when I first got up there! My last night was spent with all my waiter friends watching the footy after 9 days it was quite sad to say goodbye! But everyone has to move on! The next day I was off to Kuala Lumpur!!!
Sunday comes and I say my goodbyes to Nang and his wife (she's pregnant and due in April) I promise to send them a gift when it's born. I leave for the airport about 9.30
Kuala Lumpur
I arrive in Kuala Lumpur for 2 nights by myself. I was surprisingly nice to spend some time alone! I booked a hotel in the middle of Chinatown, which are a crazy area really buzzy and where the main market is…Kuala Lumpur is a very cool city! As I had the whole day there I decided instead of using there metro I would walk around and try to find the petronas towers… what cool buildings they are! It took me nearly an hour but I found them! I couldn't actually climb them till Tuesday though as they are closed to the public Monday and Sunday I was too late!
Underneath the towers is an amazing shopping center (K.L is probably the best place for shopping in Asia, shopping centers everywhere) there is a street called bintang, which is about 6 shopping centers in a row! Anyway after I'd eaten I decided after 2 and half months I needed a haircut! I went to the top salon and had a senior stylist for 10quid! The bloke did a really good job as well (the first person to cut my hair since I left Daniel's!)
The night was spent in Chinatown again having a chilled one! My detox is going well!!
The next day I spent the whole day shopping buying so much stuff that I had to buy another bag! (My first flight was 5kg over and I had to pay so at least now I have a big hand luggage bag) Kuala Lumpur has got everything I even managed to buy a new pair of scissors for 30quid!!! I was actually craving my first bit of western food for a long time so I treated myself to dinner at a lovely Italian restaurant! So expensive! 10quid for 2 courses!! Another chilled out night for as the next day I was going to climb the petronas towers and then fly to Bali!!!!!
I arrived at the petronas towers at 9.45 and the next possible time to go was 12.45! My flight was 12.50… I managed to blag my way in and it was really cool the lift took 41 seconds to go 41 stories! The views were really good even though it was just buildings you can only actually stand up there for 7 minutes and then you have to leave. I forgot to say the public transport in K.L is unbelievable so efficient I got the train to airport with about 3 bags and it was such a struggle! Anyway I was off to now to the island of Bali via Jakarta! I can't wait!! Living in Bali with my friends Fiona and Pete going to be a great holiday for 8 days!
