Day 31-
Got up early and went and picked Reese and Kiel up on the way to Seattle! It's bout a 30 min drive to the border from Vancouver. We got kitted up in the Seahawks gear that Kiel bought us looked awesome. We hit the road and were making good time til we hit the border and the line up of cars was crazy huge. Took bout an hour to get through, those guys have a way of making ya feel nervous even when you're innocent! Apparently a lot of people cross the border to shop in Seattle for the cheap clothes with less taxes so you have to be careful what you try bring back or pay the extra tax on it. We finally got to Seattle and stopped at a mall to do some shopping. We went from there in to town and got a park near the stadium. We then met up with some of kiels rugby mates at a bar and had a few drinks before the game then hit it up to the stadium! This is where it gets epic. I have never seen such crowds of people flocking to a stadium, most people go there hours before the game to do some "tailgating" where they park in the stadium car park and set up BBQs and lawn chairs and drink all arvo! Seattles stadium is world renowned for being designed to be the loudest stadium in the world, and holy s*** did it live up to that. When the Seahawks were on defence the whole crowd stands and screams at the top of their lungs so the opposition can't hear the calls, was a crazy experience, then on offence the stadium is dead silent and everyone sits down! We were luckily up big enough to be under cover so didn't get wet in the rain, so my cheapness and nose bleed seats were a benefit! Amazing game the Seahawks won 42-12 or something spanked the conference leaders, poor 9ers fans got a barrel full! Hit the road after the game Emm drive one for her first drive in the states/Canada, bit nervous but she did well! Home safe now Xmas eve tomorrow!!
