Hi everyone! Greetings from Memphis. The drive here went very quick, especially with cruise control most of the way! The car is very nice, we have yet to drive with the roof down! Too hot at the moment! Room at Days Inn Atlanta was very basic and not much around hotel as it was literally at the bottom of the runway!! We got a bit lost finding it and somehow came across the road we needed by chance! Due to tiredness, mainly on Joanne's part, we had a night in with pizza takeaway..mmmm...!

The next morning we got up early to set off for Memphis. It was a very easy drive and didn't take us as long as we thought, about 5 hours. Our hotel is really lovely and close to everything thats going on!We are finding it very hot here, you literally start sweating as you walk out the door. Lovely! Second day here today and it was 98 but with humidity it felt like 108!! Our first night took us to where it's all going on, Beale Street. Lots of live music in bars and lots of restaurants, traditional meal being BBQ pork. We have yet to try this! We ended the night in a Blues Bar where a band was playing Johnny Cash and Elvis music.

We had yet another early start to go to Graceland where we had a tour of Elvis' Mansion, planes and cars. It has been really interesting and were amazed by some of the rooms in the house. More photos of the house are to come but it takes ages to upload them all! We then took a short drive to the Sun Studios which was one of the best bits of the day. A really good tour and couldn't belive we were standing in the same room that so many artists once had! We even posed with Elvis' microphone! haha. We had time for a little shopping in a Mall and then we went and bought tickets for a baseball game! This is where we have just got back from. Lots of fun and typical American banter! We had to do the whole beer and hotdog thing.

Our last day in Memphis tomorrow :-( We will be visiting the Gibson Guitar Factory, the birth place of Joe's guitar. Hopefully will get some sunbathing time by the pool aswell! We have really enjoyed it here and won't want this bit of our trip to end but gotta keep going...
