jodie and caras trip
hi all
well the trip is over a few tears were shed, im not one for crying and i didn't but it was really sad. we are meeting up with a few of the peeps in sydney so im excited about that!!
i can't remeber where i left off so im gona start with kuala lumpar, it was amazing, i loved it. so different to bangkok, no funny smells and everywhere was so so clean! i felt i didn't have enough time there really and would love to go back
we styed in a hotel rght in the centre, we arrived mid afternoon and went straight to times square which is a huge shopping mall, i can't explain how big, lets just say it has the worlds largest indoor rollercoaster and a theme park inside it! we had some lunch then headed back for some chill out time!
a few of us met pong and headed late afternoon to kl tower, i hate heights and this tower was huge, you can see the pics, it was amazing though and so pleased i did it, the view was great although a little cloudy, you could see the whole city.
that night we headed to china town, i had the most delicious meal, rice as usual but i had black pepper chicken, it was all good, china town was very busy, lots of markets and resturants, you get used to eating out on the street!
then we headed out for a huge night, the drink was expensive, maybe a lttle cheaper than england but when your used to buying beer for 50p in thailand buying it for 2.50 is hard, we went out to a night club called the beach bar, it had been recommended in the lonley planet guide. it was free for ladies but blokes had to pay about a fiver. it was pretty hard caore music but it was class, there was a tank in th middle of the club with 3 sharks swimming around. cara didn't realise at first and when she did see them she made a few of our mates leave with her, it was funny!! had such a good laugh, all 25 of us were out and we saved alot of babies,
'save the babies' is a phrase pong told us when we arrived in bangkok its his way of saying lets have drinks lots of them!he passed around photos of babies with beer under there arms or looking like they were drinkng beer and told us that we had to save the babies from drinking the beer so we drink it, save the babies stuck and we all say it now!!
cara and i the next day just went shopping looked round town and everyone just had some time to themseleves. in the evening we had dinner at 'mr tappenyaki' you sit round and they cook the food in front of you , had a few beers and headed to the bed!! we also went up the largest twin toweres in the world, they are joined by a bridge, it was great to go up but the views were nothing like the kl tower
we headed then to melaka, it was very english and there wasn't an awful lot to do but we had a lovcely hotel with a jacuzzi on the roof, we ate there in the evening and there wa a guy there playing a guitar and singing, he was amaxzing and we all stayed there got buckets of beer in and chilled out, it was a great night!
i got up early for a boat trip down the melaka river, the tour man was carzy and said hello, goodbye and thank you in languages id never heard off, he didn't start talkng for an hour. He said wed see lizards so i expected little geko things but these were huge all swiming in the rver. the town itself is being redeveloped and will be nice in a few years, you can see they have made a start on modernising it. we went bowling that night and my team one, brng it on! cara did better than me but her team let her down!!
we then headed to singapore, it is beautiful and theres lots to see but i still prefer kuala lumpar. we went for an indian and the chicken korma was so so hot. the best bit of the night was when we went to raffles hotel, the most famous hotel in singapore. i loved it we had a singapore sling and threw monkey nights on the floor, we could opnly afford one drink but it was worth it, i was like a proper tourist and even took some beer mats! me a my mate mark then got a lift back on a tuk tuk thing but it has a bicycle attached to the seat bit, the guy was struggling and had to get out and push for a bit, it was uphill though! went out with a few of the guys to a bar, girls paid 10 dollars in and we got free drinks all night, it was a heavy night! recovered yesterday and chrs and jo had a mate here who owns a apartment so we went and used his pool, in fact it was 4 massive pools and a sauna, it was just what we needed, it had been raing all day but stopped by the afternoon!
nice last meal with everyone and stayed up late to say bye to the gordie boys as they left, cara went out clubbing, pretty sad about saying bye to eveyone as weve made such good mates but i been invited to newcastle already and a few other places up north which im not sure where they are but its great that we all get along!
so tours over its al going too quickly, i can't expalin how amazing it was and i know that the people we had made it for us, im excited about sydney now, ill email when im there, we get there sunday night,
hope evryone is okxxxxxxx
