Bridge Of Sighs
This bridge was built at the beginning of the 1700's and was to connect the old prison and the interrogation rooms of the Doge Palace to the new prison. One of the theories of how it got its name is that when prisoners were marched across it to be executed they would sigh, catching their last glimpse of the outside world.
