The rain was hammering down but that did not stop us, we were in Rotorua and had an action packed day ahead of us. This started with the Skyline and luge which was absolutely hilarious. Because it was chucking it down with rain we were the only people mad enough to go luging! We got drenched, but had the course to ourselves which was brilliant and meant we didn't have to manoeuvre around anyone else. We warmed up with a hot chocolate in the café and then made our way to our next activity - Zorbing. Hands down Zorbing is the funniest thing I have ever done. We opted for the wet Zorb, and since we were already soaked through we jumped in the inflatable ball in our clothes and rolled/tumbled down the hill in fits of giggles. Once we had finished laughing, we went back to our holiday park for a swim in the thermal pool before getting ready for our evening of Maori culture complete with hangi (traditional underground cooking method) dinner. The evening was really great. We saw glow-worms, were entertained by the traditional singing, dancing and welcoming ceremony and sat down to a beautifully prepared meal. The only thing was that the whole thing felt a bit rushed and we didn't even get to finish off the bottle of Maori wine that we had purchased! Sacrilege darling.
