5am was painful and still tipsy I somehow managed to get my cab to the bus station for the 6:45am shuttle bus to Cape Jervis. Slept the whole 2 hour journey there and woke in time for my first view of the ferry port. Was able to get straight on board the ferry. Was a bit like a plane on the sea with lines of seats, then a cafe area and then seated table areas. Did NOT enjoy the journey over to KI, pretty sure this had something to do with the amount of wine consumed the night before. Once arriving in Kangaroo Island in a place called Pennishaw, I met my Tour leader called Michael and the rest of my tour group. We headed straight off to Seal Bay, here we wandered down to the beach and were within 10 metres of the Seals who were laying on the beach soaking up the sun, it was a surreal experience standing there listening to them squeal in communication to each other.
