As all days on this trip it has been a full one. Today we toured what is considered new Rome. What is new about it I have no idea. Most of the structures were built before Christ was born. I feel so much of my Catholic roots in this city and walking around visiting these breathtaking structures. The Pope's house is tomorrow but it still does not take away how strong I feel my faith in this place. I kneel and pray at all the alters I visit. The genuflecting is a bit funny to watch for others trying to see me try to master it now,but I try all the same. We had a wonderful guided tour but the Italians speak so fast and impart so much information and history that it is often hard to keep up. But I get lots of pictures where they can be taken so hopefully I will remember some of it.

These people here drive absolutely insane. I have never seen anything like it. And the mass of humanity I am sure pales in comparison to NYC. Nice place to visit but I miss the peace and quiet I am surrounded by at home.
