Hi Stuart and Jo. Great to hear about your amazing adventures. I thought I'd post you a slightly belated message after spending a week over Easter in the North Island of New Zealand. As I wandered round the streets of Auckland, I thought of you both settling in to your final desitnation. Anyway, I loved NZ, despite the clapped-out camper van we managed to hire to get around in, and I can't wait to go back to explore the South Island. All the best, Rachel (Cally Masters, Sydney branch).

Had a great time in Sharm El Sheikh.Lovely and hot all the time with those balmy evenings.Hotel was really good it had a fabulous pool, in fact two pools, lovely warm water, food was excellent and varied catering for all nationalities. The area ia all rock and sand with a wonderful back drop of rugged mountains. The Red Sea is better than expected, no need to scuba dive as every thing can be seen snorkeling. The reef was only yards from the beach, with hundreds of different fish to see all the time, lovely warm and clear water, not just talking of small fish but large fish up to a metre long and all colours.Really a fabulous week and well worthwhile going. We are now back in Cyprus on our last week, back to UK on 3rd May.Have just read your latest news and seen all the photos, what a great time you are having. Pity about the troubles in Nepal, hope it doesnt mess up your itinery too much.love mum and dad

Hey folks,
I have been following your diary since I went on secondment to Amsterdam six months ago. I arrived back at the start of March and promptly flew to South America, where I was able to do an express (ie in three weeks) recreation of your Argentinian, Chilean and Bolivian adventures - particularly liked Chilean Patagonia and the Bolivian salt flats. Perhaps you should set up a travel agency when you permanently arrive in NZ.
Re tibet, always remember it is easily reached from the Chinese side if you cannot go from India. The situation in Nepal is usually better than it sounds from outside (you will be travelling in the main areas - the biggest problem is if the Maoists call a 'roadblock'), but always have a couple of hundred US dollars in your backpacks somewhere - Maoist rebels can ask for bribes (comically they do give you a receipt, so its a one off payment). Hope all goes well, Tibet will be spectacular, it is one of the most interesting places that I have been to.
