The day began with another 6am bus ride, well it almost didn't begin as for the first time this trip, we slept through our alarm! We woke up with 10 minutes to dress, pack and catch our cab. We made it no idea how to find our taxi didn't show, luckily the receptionist called a taxi driver that was staying on the same hotel, or nearby not quite sure on that one. He eventually turned up and after the slowest drive ever, we probably could of walked there faster, we made it to the station an caught our bus.
We were able to check in straight away, and were directed to climb through a gap in the bushes at the back of the hotel to catch the bus into downtown charleston. (this was to avoid walking to long way round, it was a really nice hotel) Charleston was very pretty, we spent what was left of the day wandering down the one street where everything historic was conveniently located. We were given a tour of an old house and dungeon, where part of the old city wall can be seen. The man giving the tour spent the whole time trying not to offend us as the majority of the history in this town was based upon them defending themselves from us brits. It was rather entertaining. We also go to sign the declaration of independence, it wasn't the real one, but the real one had been presented there at one point.
