Well it's the end of week two, the point where most Holidays finish and you prepare to go back to reality.
Not so in our case, and we've spent the day motoring across half of France to a decent mid-way point to Bordeaux (and yes, I've been sharing the driving!) to start our next phase. We decided to skip Dijon in the end due to it being a four hour round trip out of the way, and the last couple of places we've been to have mainly been in tribute to white wine, namely Chablis, Pouilly (as in Fume) and Sancerre, all of which have pleased Jo.With Bordeaux, I look forward to some good Reds.
It'd great to actually go direct to the source for some of these wines, to try all of the varieties and get the ones that the supermarkets don't see.Of course the houses all tell you that it's because they save the best ones for themselves.Being a sceptic, I think it's probably because they haven't got a distribution deal.
As a tribute to the end of this second week, I've decided to share some vital trip statistics with you, which should please the fact fans.

In regards to the last one, we haven't been looking out for English bars to soften our French experience.Merely we were after some advice as to where we could possibly buy our new tent.I'm not convinced that they were even French actually, as I tried all of my best lines and they still didn't work, and somehow Jo ended up with Cider. They may have been Spanish......
Glad the Weather is still with you, like it is us.
Love Darren & Jo
