Jo's Most Excellent Adventure
G'day folks, here I am in Byron Bay after doing a non stop tour, (literally) of Port Stephens, Bellingen and Coffs Harbour - but how is all this possible on your teeny weeny backpacker budget I hear you cry well......I've hooked up with a film crew filming a documentary of a punk rock band "doing" the east coast as it were. Think I may have been picked up as a groupie......hmmmm, if only the members of the band were hotties and well less punk rock! Think This Is Spinal Tap meets the East Coast. Heaps of fun and its great having a camera in your face 247...when you get up, when your having secret chats on your hidden microphone, that kind of thing! They're moving pretty quickly up the coast so I'm saying goodbye today and spending a week in the lovely Byron Bay!
So what have I been doing apart from my crazy filming schedule I hear you cry? Well I left Lisa's after having a great couple of weeks - minus getting sick and hopped on my Greyhound bus to Port Stephens, a local place where heaps of Aussies go for their summer hols. It was really beautiful but absolutely dead apart from the film crew, I went dolphin watching and beacuse the YHA was in the bush we had visitors from possums and Kookaburras at breakfast! Still haven't seen wild koalas yet though!
Was booked onto doing a sunrise horseride along the beach but ended up going SANDBOARDING - down the 30foot dunes next to the beach. Was sooooooooo much fun and I got filmed doing it too! (Thank god I didn't fall on my ass!) Infact was quite the pro! After that I hitched a lift with the band, (an experience I tell you now) to a place called Bellingen where they'd been booked to do a gig. Partied for a bit, all that sex, drugs and rock and roll - minus the sex and the drugs, then spent a day fishing at the beach for Great Whites, (yes the australians are mad thank god we didn't catch any) and headed to Byron!
So my life just keeps getting crazier!!!
Miss you all!
Jo
