Hello everyone!!!

I am at my next destination Chiang Rai..... Had a great time in Chiang Mai and was so sad to leave but im having a great time in CR! Richie ended up taking me to this beautiful restaurant antique house... haha stacey, how strange!!! though im not sure it was the same one you told me to go too as there are 2, one for tourists and one for locals, we went to the local one and had fun ordering!!! was hilarious! the food was out of this world, really good! Richie took me for coffee then on to the waterside house, 2 really good bands, was so much fun! got a little squiff! hehe.

so yesterday i was feeling a little low as i didnt want to leave but got on the super aeroplane bus! was an odd experience. a ladyboy was our stewardess and kept falling over in his heels, so funny laughed all the way. had a panic attack on the bus as couldnt find passport so spent the rest of the 3 hour journey figuring out what to do if i lost it getting in a right old state, to find i had it along!!! for goodness sake!

so no one came to pick me up from the bus st so after a little digging around found out where i was meant to be and jumped in a taxi! the GH is really out of town. its ok, so quiet no one is there but they make a mean scrambled eggs on toast... heaven! and the tea is good to, finally! so was feeling really low and needed to shake the feeling so headed in to CR to meet the wonderful Luccie from Pairs! we went to the hill tribe museum together and ended up booking a day trip (today) to an elephant camp, hill tribes, the golden trianggle and a couple of towns in between i cant rememebr the names of!

So after booking the trip we met her friend who she had met yesterday too and who lives here in CR we ended up going to the night market with a couple of beers and lots of local nibbles! was delic. it was mothers day yesterday (the queeens birthday) and it had a lovely buzz about the town. we then went to teepee bar which was full of goth masks and all spooky. was a great place!

So CR is a lovely place! mush smaller than CM but with a lovely atmos. hardly any tourists at all. but the weather is pretty bad! raining a lot have only seen glimpses of the sun! but the north of thailand is so beautiful. the scenery is spectacular! gorgeous!

so today we set off for the elephant camp, carefully missing the 8ft snake! oh my god i was having kittens! hehe then we went on an elephant ride round the hills was really nice. We drove to 2 of the local hill tribes which was really interesting and way to much info to go into here! il fill you in when i get back! was an eye opener though! after we went to the border town called mass sai i think. we ate burmese food, was lovely and walked around the markets! then hoppped in the car and off to the golden triangle, for those who dont know what that is.... where thiland, laos and burma all meet around the mekong river! the scenery was spectacular! The rainy season is pretty bad this year so a lot of the river banks and local villages have flooded - see the pics. so we jumped in to one of the fastest boats i have ever been in and it was so fun, we zipped along the river taking photos and enjoying the ride. only slightly dangerous!

we then went to the most scerene temple so quiet and peaceful, was really good. i did a fortune telling stick apparently....... im like a fish who like the rainy season but finds a way through the dry season, if i go to court i will lose and if i meet a man whose bad i have to walk away and find a good boy! hhhhhhmmmmm

so now i have met luccie and we are off to the night market to do some shopping, havent actually bought anything yet! and grab a foot massage! lovely!

as the rains are so high my trip has changed some what but im still going to laos, i may have to get to luang prabang by other means though! so i catch a bus to the border tomorrow and then to the gibbon experience, if you dont hear from me for a while it will be when i get down in to luang prabang! as last time i checked they didnt have facebook in the jungle hehe

oh i forgot..... i had a car accident today! all ok but the car not so! all fun and games hey! hehe
