Well last night everyone went out in Copenhagen to celebrate getting over our first week of class including our presentation and quiz on Friday. We hung out at the hotel for a while and then we met up with the Danish girls who gave us a tour on Tuesday. They showed us around and we ended up at this night club called Rust.It is a very narrow bar/dance club. There was a very small room on the bottom floor that was empty other than a bar and a DJ so all like 25 of us went down there and had our own little room.We stayed there until it got too crowded..around 2ish and then we went back to the hotel. This morning we got to sleep in just a little but had to get up and get ready to go to Hamlet's castle in Helsinborg. The castle was beautiful and sad on the edge of what I think is the Baltic Sea which really made me miss home and the beach.I took a lot of really good pictures and a video, but we really didn't learn much because we didn't have a tour guide or anything. After that we ate at a little cafn that town and went to the stores around there. The bad thing here is that on Saturday, all shopping stores close at 2:00 and Sunday they are barely even open! At home those are our only days to go shopping!! So we got back on the train and headed back to Norreport which is about a 30 minute ride, but due to technical difficulty and the heat it lasted almost 2 hours. When we got back we settled in and decided to just have a chill night and watch movies in our room.We went down to a pizza place and grabbed a couple of pizzas and watched movies in our room.If you look in one of my pictures you will see a large spiral staircase that leads up to a balcony. We have been thinking about climbing it since we got here, and we did it tonight! I know when Dad looks at the pictures he will be shaking his head thinking I can't believe she is doing that, but I did, and it was only scary going up! The view was really pretty but we didn't stay long because we were kind of freaked out after the long hike up.After that we went in search for ice-cream, but McDonalds was out of ice cream, all of the ice cream parlors were closed and nothing looked good at the 7 Eleven. We took a back road there and we found a really cool park with a fountain and playground, and I did find the grass for where the dogs can go to the bathroom..so mystery is solved! We came back to the room and just sat here chit chatting for a while and then decided it was time to retire and get ready for bed.Tomorrow we get to sleep in, thank Jesus, and then we are going to walk to the Royal Palace and see the changing of the guards, which I have always wanted to do! I will take a video and upload it on here, but until then, time for bed! Fun fact for the day:if you purchase a car in Denmark, which is kind of rare, you have to pay taxes of 180%...that is 3 times the price of the car!! That is the reason there are so few cars and so many bikes?I know my family would be sporting bikes =) Anyway, I am still having a great time, starting to miss home a lot.I got to talk to Sophie today, so I know she is still there! Oh yeh, I got to talk to mom, dad , and Ry too?but they are on my second most missed people lists..haha..jk?.love you, good night!
