I found that many of us have recently been mentally preparing for this extraordinary voyage to come to an end. For a few days at sea after leaving Hawaii I was wrestling through bittersweet feelings and coming to grips with returning to "reality"...which for me is looking like unemployment and homelessness =).It had been over two weeks in new country, and after a fast paced Asia tour, two weeks seemed like forever. so this is one of the longest stretches of days at sea...EIGHT days and NINE nights straight of no land. we just boarded 725 students...today was our move in in Nassau. pulled away from the port...had our first sea meetings. i honestly went through an emotional low from about 8am-1pm for some reason....some of the students turned me off a bit. it's seriously like a sorrority convention here. did i tell you our voyage is 73% women!!!
