OK final bit now. 31st May we flew Lima to Rio De Janeiro. Late night flight so landed at 5 ish in the morning. Blagged our way into a hotel in Copacabbana. Grey and cloudy (not what we expected) but warm. Banks in Brazil seem very fussy about UK cards so hard to get any cash. Eventually find one that works so at least we can eat for the next few days! Hi All As you may guess from the date we are now back in the UK. Have been very busy rushing about trying to see everyone, but now have time to complete the text on our adventures. We left Auckland (NZ) on 20th May where we were 11 hours ahead of UK. We took off at 4.30 pm and after an 11 hour flight landed at Santiago (Chile) at 12 midday on the same day!! Hi All We really enjoyed our time in Australia. 1st May we flew to Auckland (north Island) New Zealand. Spent a couple of days in the city. Took a boat ride over to one of the islands offshore from the city. Beautiful day bright sunshine. Waiheke island was lovely. Hi AllAn update on our adventures in Australia. 5th April we flew to Perth. Spent a couple of days looking round. Perth is a small but friendly city and Fremantle was great. 7th April we pick up a hire car and drive about 300 km S.E of Perth to visit Mick and Alex (my niece and her husband) who live 'outback' near Dumbleyung. Hi All Happy Easter. Arrived in Sydney on 16th March and stayed in guest house in Glebe Village for three nights. Very central so we used public transport to get about. Spent one day on a tourist 'hop on hop off' bus which gave us a good over view of the city. Very hot. Will post some photo's of opera house etc soon.
