Had a great day and a half in Krakow! This morning we went to the salt mines. The picture is of me standing next to one of the carvings done in salt. The mines contained something like 300km of underground tracks and they say if you placed the Eiffel Tower at the bottom, there would still be 3m between the top of the tower and the surface. I'm in Budapest! Flew in two days ago and met up with topdeck tour yesterday. Amazing city. Too many buildings worth taking photos of. The one here is me infront of parliament. Spent the day in Bern (Swiss capital) with Rach, Raf and some of their friends. We came for Zwibeli märt, an onion festival/market which is packed with food, market stalls, an odd wine called glüwein and tonnes and tonnes of confetti! As soon as we got out of the train station we could see the streets littered with confetti. Children and teenagers buy bags of it and throw it at fellow market goers. Plenty of sightseeing in Lucern the past few days. I have seen the Löwen Denkmal (lion monument), 2 incredible church's, Verkehrs Haus (museum of transport) and I'm sure some more I can't recall right now. The vast majority of food outlets here have a heavy focus on either chocolate, pastry, cheese or some mixture of the three. This pleases me :) and yet, when I am away I always loose weight.
