HI james Rachel What a surprise there I was lying in my bath it was about 2000 phone rings will give a ring back I said to myself and I heard your voice James I tried to ring back, but of course it cannot be done. Hope that I will be around next time you ring. It has been so cold here, snow and frost, sent the country in a turmoil, many schools closed and transport affected, and yet this morning not a flake to be seen in Fareham. It will be okay I think for your mum and dad to go and see billy Elliot your christmas present. Although I have not been out for three days it was a highlight day, spoke to Holly in France = contact makes all the difference, have taken advantage of this quiet time to de clutter bit upsetting too many memories so your phone call cheered me. Sounds if you are having an exciting time, have seen some of your photos. Will sometime get my new computer set up but to be honest am a bit lost but will have a go. Am at Annes at the moment. Believe you sent cards but they have not arrived am not very familiar with south america should have followed your travels on a map. will be o.k. for australia Will see if IU can see more whilst i am here have fun love grandma xxxxx

who's reading Shantaram? noticed it peeking out from one of your pictures. Waddington loved it but I thought it was dreadful. Not wanting to turn your blog into a literary critique, but what do you think?
Trinidade looks brilliant and has been noted for future trips. miss you lots xx

Hi Rachel and James, well looks like you are having an amazing time. The pics of Rachel made me laugh as they are mostly of "drink-in-hand". Think of us here in Londinium braving the grumpy sods on the tube, weathering colds; the only conversation being how cold it is today, how cold tomorrow... It's not all that bad though. Ski trips are being booked and there's still loads of partying. Look forward to seeing some more pics. Continue with the awesome stories. P.S. Prefer pics of you guys to plants etc. Sorry, am soooooo uncultured! Miss ya. Love Caroline x
