We took the Shinhasen train for the 2 hr trip to Hiroshima, then got on a streetcar to Peace Memorial Park. Very respectful place. Then we got on a train to the ferry over to the island of Miyajima. Another day, another festival. It was their Oyster Festival. February's cold water is supposed to produce the best flavored oysters, and they prepare them in many different ways. I had them in a stew and roasted. The world famous gate in the water was exposed, so we walked out and touched it.
