Finally in Rio!! We have given ourselves a few days to chill out on the beach (although it is much hotter in the UK). We stayed in a lovely hostel for a few nights and now we are staying in a nice hotel 2 blocks back from Ipanema beach. At some point we will go sightseeing but for the moment we are both feeling very lazy. Not long to go now, infact less than a week!! How time flies x

Finally made it to country number 7, Uruguay! We spent 9 days in Buenos Aires as there was so much to do and we enjoyed the good food, makes a change from the other SA countries. We had our last dinner with friends in a lovely posh (cheap cheap) restaurant called Lomo and then packed our growing bags!! The ferry from Buenos Aires to Colonia (uruguay) took 3 hrs. Finally made it to BA!! It is absolutely massive!! We visited Santa Fe and Rosario before we got here. They were both sunny but today in BA it had rained all day!! The football match (Arg V Mex) has just finished and everyone is tooting their horns and there are fireworks and flags everywhere. Well we finally made it into Argentina!! We have finished our tour so its just the 2 of us now. So far in Argentina been to Mendoza and Cordoba. We plan to go to Santa Fe in a few days. Finally left Bolivia!! After a few intense days of travel in a jeep through salt flats and the desert we were tired. And there was no elec and food was basic.In Chile now so the prices are high. We get a night bus in a few hrs and get down to sea level in La Serena!!
