Day before i set off - finally got around to packing! The photo shows how bad my room got, everything is actually in some (mad?) order, and has been checked off on my packing list. Unfortunately theres a large chance we may be moving while I'm away (guess I miss out on all the lifting and driving around?) But it meant everything in my room had to go in either a box or my bag.

Lots of running around today too - doctors appointment in the morning to have my final round of jabs, then on to my bank (no joke - for the 3rd time, they're useless) for them to photocopy my passport to arrange a credit card, as they forgot to when i last went in. Then I had to stop by at work to hand my notice in, only 3 days after I'd stopped working?

Also managed to find my way around the overly confusing emirates online check in site, and wrestle a bit of paper out of it that will (hopefully) get me on a plane tomorrow.

Got a fun filled evening planned tonight - teaching mum how to use my online banking for emergencies, followed by packing the rest of my bag, and waiting around for a phone - interview for a job I'm hoping to get in Canada. As they said they would ring me 'sometime on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday' nice and specific eh?

On the plus side Mum is taking me out for a "last supper" tonight though, at some secret location.
