Holy hell it is hot in here!!! I am sweating out every gallon of water I have had to drink today! This one is going to be short! Yesterday I bummed around and checked into my hotel at 1pm, took a much needed 2 hour nap then showered the sand off from Biarritz (yes I was THAT tired that it is okay for me to sleep in sand) headed out to the rocky beach in Nice. where I tanned for 3 hours (or slept) and didnt get burned! WOOHOO! then I headed to the corner store got some beer and sat on the balcony of my hotel room people watching and waiting for Evann and Maryann to get in from their train ride from hell. (apparently Italian trains are s*** and evann was so hot she ended up crying). Evann changed into her bathing suit and we headed out at 10pm for the beach where we carefully navigated out way over rocks to get in the water. It still freaks me out to swim in the ocean in the dark, but it was REALLY cool to be in the French Rivera swimming at 10pm at night! We headed back to the hotel, showered and changed and headed out to dinner at about 12am, we found a yummy pizzeria and ate an insane amount of food. Ev got drunk off red wine and we headed back for some much needed slleeeeeep. Right now we are going to book our tickets to piza on Sunday and it looks like we will have to spend 3 hours on an Itialian train... :( :( :( but the good news is I can stay with Ev and Maryann, so I wont have to pay for a hotel and we will have air conditioning!!! WOOHOO! After that, it is the beach for the rest of the day. Nothing but me and the ocean! :) Well, and maybe some sunshine and sun screen too! :) Our hotel room is so amazing, the balcony window is so clear it looks like there is no window there... very weird at night! Omg, I am dying of heat!!! check check, army green shirt shows sweat, NOT a good idea when VERY HOT! Thanks for your message Claire! I love you and cant wait to hear about your ballet recital!!!!
