Bristol in summer only has just a bit of sunshine shining through. I am staying at a cute country house 'the paddock' with horses and a beautiful rose garden in the backyard.

I decided to explore and go walking around the countryside to the local pub next to the river. I am suprised to see the river dried up with boats left stranded on the riverbank and talk to locals about the old lighthouse on the side of the riverbank. I see squirrels playing which I have never seen before near the river getting stashes of chestnuts from a tree.

In the pub which is a traditonal english pub I have the local drink of gin and lemonade with a dinner of bangers and mash. With the dukebox playing vintage hits and oasis, the regulars are playing their match of darts while I am amazed by a man bringing his dog to drink with him in the pub.
