Hi!
Well I think this will be my last journal entry before I come home! I'm at Lima airport, with about an hour before I board my flight to LA (via San Salvador and Guatemala city grrrrr).…
Hola!
I'm in Nazca - here to see the Nazca lines, massive big drawings done by the Nazca people hundreds of years ago, in the sand/earth - well I think that's about right. They're …
Hi!
Well I've done the Inca Trail! We started on New ear's Eve and we arrived at Machu Picchu on the 3rd. It lived up to all expectations... it's rainy season so we had a bit of ra…

Hey darling sister!
Just wanted to drop you a quick line! I hope you're having lots of fun in LA with james and danielle, tell them i say hi :) It was so good to be able to read all of your adventures as i havent been able to speak to you while i'm up here. Jon and I are currently trying to get out of our lease and come home 3 weeks earlier. It's proving to be a little difficult but ma and pa helped while they were up here so that was good. They are in cairns at the moment preparing for their flight home! We had a fantastic week up here, went on a crocodile cruise, didnt see one, ate at my restaurant FINALLY, visited the markets and drove up to the daintree yesterday. It was really good to see both of them and to have their help with my crappy real estate agent. We're hoping to be home on the 31st but who knows right now.
I hope you have a safe flight!! And that you'll enjoy being home tomorrow,.... i can't believe it's tomorrow! Hopefully only 2 more weeks until i get to see you, it's nearly been 15 months now! and nearly a year and a half by the time mel arrives for mas birthday that the 3 of us had been together! crazy eh? See you soon!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love always, Mad xxx

Wow! The photos of Machu Picchu are amazing! You look great, fit and healthy. I loved all the photos of your hike there, the dining tent and New Years Eve table looked fabulous. I liked the picture of you. Jen and Ria at Dead Woman's Pass and the pic of you eating nuts after you had arrived.
I hope you got the photos I sent you of Christmas - I have taken the Christmas tree down today as it is 12 days after Christmas, and all the decorations are packed away.
Well, we are offf to Pt Douglas on Tuesday for a week - it will be great to see where Mad and Jon have been living and working for the last 2 months. We will probably hire a car and go with them to the Daintree one day and also have dinner in the bar/restaurant where Mad has been working as well.
We get home as you know the day before you do - so not long now only about 10 days.
Kep enjoying yourself and take care.
love you lots, can't wait to see you.

Those Peruvian outfits are just screaming VODKA BAR especially the hood things. And how about the munja tea with a little grey goose? I am sensing the opportunity for a whole new bar!

I can't wait to hear all about the Inca Trail. That will be amazing! We are all so excited to see you. Not long now honey, only 3 weeks. Enjoy the rest of your travels and keep safe.

Dear Jess
Very best Christmas wishes to you in La Paz. Sensational trip you are having and I'm enjoying every minute vicariously. Writing 7.30 am Christmas morning from Sydney. It's as quiet as a mouse and cool and overcast. I'm having breakfast with friends then heading off to Byron Bay this arvo for a week. Back for NY. Will be thinking of you on your adventure trail.
lots of love

Dear Jess
I have been following your travels with great interest. Your Mum & Dad bring down copies of your journal and photos for me to see. What a marvelous adventure you are having. I am a little green with envy! Thankyou for the postcard. I will be thinking of you at Christmas time. Keep having a wonderful time.
lots of love

Good thinking about the road trip! Quite coincidentally, there is an email that has been circulating of a mountain road in Bolivia and it looks as scarey as hell. I might save it for you when you get back!
Your journal and photos give an amazing insight into what you are seeing and doing - in such a strange land. Now that you have found the time to write more, the stories you are telling give a much deeper perspective of what you are seeing. And the photos continue to amaze. I aprticularly like the one of you alone on the salt flat.
I have reported to many just how proud your family and Seymour College should be that after all those years of high quality, single gender, independent education you have ended up as an underground silver miner in Bolivia.
The place you are staying at Sucre sounds like some of the buildings we saw in Cordoba in Spain - the home of the patio, where everything is built around a central courtyard with flowers and fountains and balconies.
See you in about a month!!!! XXXXXXXX

Hi Honey,
Can't believe the photos of Chile, they are amazing!! and the photos of you in your climbing gear on the volcano, who would have thought you would do that?
Today was the first day of my holidays, the last week or so has been crazy - reports, end of the year and packing up my classroom to be painted, recarpeted and new furniture, I'm sure it will all be worth it.
Granny and I went shopping today, she has amazing stamina! 6 hours we were out for, but with lots of breaks for coffee and lunch, she bought all the great grand children pressie for Xmas. She said that next year she won't be able to do it, but she said that last year.
I look forward to more info about what you are doing,
Missing you lots, love you heaps,
Ma x x x

Hi Jess,
Those new photos are amazing. Especially the two of the really dry mountains with the lush valley. Such a contrast... strange. I liked the one of you in front of the church with all the school kids!
Guess what? I bought a washing machine! My first 'real' domestic purchase.
Keep having fun. And i'll speak to you at xmas. I guess i'll leave your pressie in Adelaide. Second guess what? Mecca Cosmetica opened in Canberra (i know that might not seem that good, but it's Canberra!!)

Hi Jessica,
Loved reading of your adventures & seeing your wonderful pictures. It sounds like a really well planned itinerary. Take care & keep having fun.

The oldest one
Hey Pessica,
I am loving the photos and postings. The penguins were very cute. Bummer about not getting to go up the volcano, but you still have done other very cool things. White water rafting looked fun, glad you are making the most of it. It made me laugh out loud when you said all the guys seem to be wearing Davidoff Cool Water in Buenos Aires, hilarious.
Well I am bumming around today. Got the day off to recover from a work trip to Darwin and Katherine. Left Darwin at 2am this morning, and then arrived in Canberra at 10am, yuk. It was so hot and sticky up there. It was a week long work trip but some interesting things included: staying at an air force base and being looked at like i was from another planet because i was the only one not in cammo (maybe it was because they could only see me!!), running away from cane toads, dealing with 40 degrees and 80% humidity, getting sun burnt after 2 minutes in the sun, the trucks (they had 4 massive carriages!!!), the lack of speed limit, going to katherine gorge, litchfield national park, and then katherine scammell ringing me when i was in katherine, weird. Speak to you soon, Christmas time i am sure. Keep having fun!! Miss you,
Love Mel.

Hi Jess,
I cannot believe you went white water rafting! How amazing. I have just been looking at your photos from your South American experience so far and i can tell you are embracing every bit of everything new. How are the boys there? That's what I really want to know but since you are barely writing personal emails anymore (completely understand) i guess i will have to wait until you get back to hear all. Also seeing Sally must have been great. I love the photos of you to.
We all miss you here. I saw your Mum and Dad at Kylie the other night. I'm not sure what was the bigger highlight. It was great seeing your parents- I have not seen them in so long. Kylie was amazing and you were missed. To be honest though I would not have traded a trip to South Amercia for a seat though my darling.
Anyway enjoy the rest of your trip. Less than two months until you are home, although it seems i will be in sydney for 5 weeks over the summer. I'm a little nervous. However, it's about time i start my career. Not sure how a 5 week clerkship in sydney will go.
Love you. Have a ball!
