Tk: KL is a very civilised place, and everyone seems to be obsessed with shopping, air conditioned malls everywhere and full of Christmas decorations! We made a brave trip out to chow kit to visit the crazy market, cows heads, strange smells and lots of odd stuff, I tried to sell Jess but they weren't interested. We had dinner in Madame Kwan restaurant on zetty's recommendation, great beef rendang, thanks Z!

JK - Waking up with the curtains open with a view over KL was something special. If possible the Patronas Towers seem more impressive at dawn than they did last night. Having decided to upgrade last night, breakfast was now included in our room price. It was without doubt the best buffet breakfast we have ever seen! JK- so after a not so bad 12 hour flight, Tom and I arrived in KLIA. It is a very super efficient airport so very easy to get to KL Sentral where we picked up a taxi with two Liverpudlians (now living in Bromley) to our hotel. We decided to upgrade - cocktails, cream tea, club lounge all included along with an amazing room on the 29th floor! Not a bad view from up here as you can see from Tom's photo! After a quick shower we are off to explore....
