TK: we had breakfast on the terrace of our hotel overlooking the Mekong River and while we were eating some elephants came down to drink and bathe in the river, it was pretty awesome even though they were far away. JK - We crossed the border in to Laos from a station called Huay Xai. A small boat carried us over the Mekong from Thailand to Laos.
