Jane and Ali's USA tour!
The 21 hour bus journey to Orlando was quite possibly the worst experience of the entire journey! Lets just say two brothers sat next to us the whole journey and just would not stop talking. Ordinarily thats okay, but not when they were on some sort of drug comedown! The bus driver was a right plank and stopped for 15 minutes at the most *fuff* and we were so sleep deprived from the whole cabin experience that we wern't in the most pleasant of moods when we got to Orlando at 8am. Check in for the hotel was not til 3pm :( so you can imagine how crabby we were!
Orlando is really spread out but luckily we were in a really good location to get buses to the attractions. It was very much a place for doing the 'tourist thing'.....so we visited disney's magic kingdom on our first full day. We had high expectations of disney, much to our dismay however, it was not at all as we had imagined. There was very few rides, even america's beloved 3D simulator rides! To be honest, we were thinking like children and were still disappointed. The castle itself looked fantastic from the front, but once again america failed to deliver, it was in fact just a walk way through to other parts of the kingdom and not a castle at all *fuff*. We didn't even get to see Mickey mouse :( but we did get to see his house hee hee. The best part of the day was going on the log flume *grins* especially the photo from the log flume which you'll all wanna see when we get back!
Sea World on the other hand was amazing, and we got to see the famous whale shemu (although i did not know he was famous at the time! hee hee). The dolphin show and the killer whale shows were out of this world, like nothing you would see in England im afraid.
The Kennedy Space Centre was also amazing and something you can only experience in florida. Alison wanted to sign up to be an astronaught (sp??!) but then she realised that they wern't ready to send monkeys into space yet!!! hee hee (that was actually ali's joke, im not that mean.....America has some kinda hormones in the food that make your hair and nails grow faster amongst other things...no really!). But the whole experience was out of this world....ha ha!
Wet and Wild was pretty fun too, apart from the silly little things like bloomin wedgies and bikini issues! hee hee and one ride called the storm that nearly knocked us both out.
It was also in Orlando that we actually ate the best and most healthy food :) courtesy of Bob Evans **thank you Bob** ha ha.
The scary thing about Orlando was the fact that when reading the hostel rules one stated; No swimming or fishing in the lake due to Alligators **eek** but i was quite disappointed when we didn't see any!
Now im really sorry that this journal is quite dull, but thats kinda the way it was in Orando, Miami was much more eventful! Probably the most eventful thing was Alison actually going to the hairdresses for the first time ever (literally!!!!!!!) and getting it cut into layers, the tips bleached then dyed red, blow dried and straightened for the bargain price of 30 quid!!! Say cheap or what. She actually sat there for 3 hours.....ive never seen her sit so long without complaining! The nice thing was that when we went to TGI Fridays for something to eat (after she had just got it done) a lady told her she had beautiful hair and asked her where she had it done, cute or what! Onto Miami......party central *muhahahaha*
lots of love, jane and ali x x
