Heylo all...

I'm just testing this blog...

Right....so....I'm going to Sri Lanka in a week and a half. At the moment, I'm feeling very mixed emotions. Really excited and really scared at the same time! The other day, I saw a picture of a plane while surfing the net, and that was enough to set me off...I just burst into tears and started thinking "What the Hell am I doing?!"....so yes, very emotional! But I know I will be fine when I get there and am keeping busy with school and seeing the country! Thank goodness I am travelling with my good friend, Alex, life is never dull when he is around, so I know I am in for a pretty eventful journey!

I've spent lots of time buying clothes that will be suitable for a warmer climate. I will be working in the mountains, which will be a little cooler than other parts of the country, but I've still bought some warm-weather trousers. Right now, I am sick of looking at trousers!! Hahaha. I've also bought half of Boots (well it feels like it anyway!), sun cream, after sun, first aid kit, hand sanitiser, tissues, hairbands, etc etc...

Today, I had my 5th and 6th injections....two more to go , so my poor arms are feeling a little sore....and I feel like a pincushion!

I've been learning Sri Lankan sign language, which has some words that are similar to British Sign Language. It's really fun to learn! I've also been thinking about lesson plans for the children to learn English (what a geek?!
