After an intensive 2 weeks of driving we finally made it to tropical Darwin. On the way we passed through Cober Pedy, Alice Spring, detoured to Uluru (Ayres Rock), Kings Canyon, Katherine, Litchfield NP, Kakadu. Passed Salt pans, huge eagles, camals, kangaroos, wallabbies, snakes. In total travelled 3, 500km. For days there was just nothing, but road houses. After a 10 hour coach ride from Melbourne, it was lovely to be welcomed by Stevens cousins.I instantly felt part of the family, which was really appreciated after travelling for such along time. Flew from Bali, Denpasar to Perth, arrived in the early hours of our first wedding anniversary. Slept at the airport and were greeted with torrential rain.
