Ok wow so much catching up to do, Hong Kong was amazing. Lots of good food and shopping with the amazing Ho family who showed up around. We hit up basically every market and mall there is to shop in and ended up having to ship stuff home, Jenny and Lauren each probably bought 20 pashminas. We also ate lots of good noodles and Chinese food, the Chinese food is so much better than at home! We even went to the famous noodle restaurant where Anthony Bourdain went on his food show.
We also went and saw the famous Peak view and restaurant, went to the wax museum, and rode the famous trolley.
Horse racing is also really big in Hong Kong so Candice's parents got us tickets to one of the races. We got to see the site where the Olympic horse races will be held. (It is going to be in Hong Kong because their facilities are much better than in Beijing.) It was the first horse race we had all been too and it eas really fun to see.
We also made it out for one night to meet up with Candice's friends, and it happened to be very randomly Canada day, so it was a huge party in the streets with Candadian flags and outfits everywhere.
All in all Jenny and Lauren liked Hong Kong a lot, it is a very clean well organized asian version of New York. Everything is built up very tall, there was one building that was just stories and stories of restaurants. Even a country club was numerous of floors high. It was nice though, you rarely had to venture out in the heat you could just stay within buildings.
Thanks to the Ho's for a great trip!
