8th June- Friday It is Astrid here - Jenny is cooking tea so I have the privilege of writing on their blog. Firstly let me start with the fact that it is supposed to be summer here and the days are very long and it is light from about 4am to 10.30 pm so we have lots of day to see and do things. Tuesday 5th May. After an uneventful drive along the secondary roads past small villages and farms we arrived at the Netzers home in the north of Berlin. We were greeted by Ann who was an exchange student with my sister Debbie in country Victoria about 10 years ago. A short time later her in-laws to be Jorg and Regina Netzer arrive home from work. Europe 2012. JUNE We arrived in Holland on the 29th May after a long flight. We then spent 4 days with cousin Martin in his house at s'Gravendeel, Holland. Ewout was eager to get to work on the camper, he installed another small vent in the roof at the front and did some maintenance on various parts of the vehicle. We also spent some time doing a bit of cleaning and organising, taking out some articles that we didn't need and making sure that we had all...

Arrived at Schipol airport after a very good trip. Martin and Ewoud B, picked us up and drove us back to s'Gravendeel. Ewout couldn't wait to get stuck in readying the camper for our trip and got to washing all the grime and cobwebs off it. Jenny and Astrid walked down to the local shops for some supplies and mixed it with the locals at the supermarket. I think a couple of us at least will be having a nanna nap this afternoon.

On our way at last, we left Adelaide at 11.40 am and after a 6 1/2 hour flight arrived at Changi Airport, Singapore. We are travelling this time with Ewout's sister Astrid and she will be with us for the first 5 weeks. We have found a nice quiet spot on the 3rd floor and settled down in some comfy chairs to wait for our next flight to Amsterdam. Ipods, book readers and computer help to pass the time and of course having some extra company is an added bonus.
