Schools - A peek inside the classroom - A large pile of wood, most likely collected by students for the teacher. Once a week, students end school early to do chores and errands for their teachers. They haul water and wood to the teachers' houses, perform household maintenance tasks (cutting the lawn with machetes, sweeping, dishes, laundry, etc.), and are basically expected to do whatever the teacher wants/needs. On a side note, it is accepted and expected that male teachers will sleep with their students. For the girls, this is actually a GOOD thing, for if they are impregnated by a teacher, they know that they will be taken care of for the rest of their lives (teachers are employed by the government, which ensures a steady income and a position of status and respect). In fact, if male teachers DON'T sleep with their students, it's looked upon as strange. Of course, I mean high school (perhaps jr. high??) students, not elementary.
