Our first stop in Oz was Campbell Town, New South Wales, to see the 'rellies' they showed us around woolongong before me and mum headed on to Sydney...
So Sydneys just like London, only bluer water round the edges, a bigger bridge and a building resemembeling some nicely positioned egg shells (the Opra House). Ok so thats a bit unfair, Sydney is nice. The Bridge is petty as is the Opra House, but when arriving to wind and rain like London and seeing everyone comuting on the rat race, not to mention the same places and streets all aound us (Kings Coss, Liverpool Sreet, Oxford Street, Hyde Park) it was hard not to think of home.
We done all the touristy things; went up to the Blue Mountains, visited the Sydney Aquarium and fed some Kangeroos in the zoo and cuddled a koala, stolled along Manly and Bondi Beach, walked out of the Sky Tower and stared at the odd balls of Kings Cross! Mum left on the 8th, followed by Ben on the 9th so with just me and Hayley left all we longed for was somewhere warm so we booked our bus hopping up the East Coast to leave 6pm Friday 13th arriving in Byron Bay Saturday morning (14 hours later) as our first stop. Leaving on Friday 13th was hardly a brain wave so we had our seat belts all the way!!!
So we finaly arrived in Byron bay anyway with no unfourtunate Friday 13th misshaps and some sunshine without the wind tunnel effect of Sydney... It took us 14 hours to get here but Byron Bay is lovely and has a lovely beach however we have started to get bad impressions of Ausies after our Saturday night on the piss... first a girl in one bar stole our wine!!! and then later a girl tried to walk off with Hayleys jacket! How rude... Sunday morning, slightly hungover, we took to the water in our Kayaks and saw loads of dolphins up close in the sea jumping and swimming just feet from us and two swam right underneath mine and Hayleys kayak. That was amazing.
So thats all from NSW, we're on the move again, never being ones for sitting still, and moving up to Surfers Paradise this afternoon which will be our first Queensland stop. Luckily this is only a two hour coach ride away...
