BULA BULA
So finally we had some time to do NOTHING! I dont think you realise how tiring this travelling lark really is. Up at the crack of dawn, packing, un-packing re-packing, cheking in, checking out, sleeping on busses. Lifting and carrying my rucksack is like a gym work out on its own! So Fiji was bliss, getting up only to eat and lay on the beach and paddle in the sea and moving only to reaply sun lotion and change position!
The moment we stepped off the plane we were being sang to by a group on Fijians playing Banjos and the rest of the week carried on in this way with them doing little shows in the evenings and singing to people as they arrived and departed.
We met up with Louisa and her friend Carly on Beachcomber (the party island) and spent the next 3 days here. Me and Hayley Kayaked over to Treasure Island one day as well to have a look around, which took all of 20 minutes. Then a few days later we headed to Bounty Island the home of celebrity Love Island. We went to pay a visit to the Love Shack, obviously, but it was all torn to bits only the hot tub and and the exterior walls remained! The Love Island pool had been moved round to the front of the island though so we made good use of that!
We took part in a bit of strenuous activity in the form of a Banana bost ride, and what effort that was, flying of, swimming back, climbing on! What a hard life! Oh and we made braclets out of coconuts - well Navi one of the staff climed the tree cut it open and cut it up... but we sanded it down!! (litterally by using sand and a brick!) Hard life again!
Ah, so 7 days of skin browning later and it was back to the mainland to catch our flight back to Auckland and then from there to Santiago, Chile. Im so sick of flying now i wish someone would invent teleportation!
