WE MADE IT TO HE BEACH!!!!!!!

It was a long journey, 2 flights, a 2 hr taxi and lots of coffee nut we made it to paradise!

We went straight to palolem beach , arriving just after dark and booked into a hut on stilts for 2 days that cost us about 5 quid a night. my mums 1st request on arrival was an ice cold beer........unfortunately, it was what they call a 'dry day' as the elections take place on that day.........poor waiter got an ear-bashing, very funny!!

lots of sunbathing, swimming, seafood (including the biggest prawn we had ever seen....the thing looked like a lobster!)

The beach was glorious and as you lay sunbathing on your sarong fruit sellers come along and cut up fresh pineapple, banana, watermelon, papaya etc for about 40p. Women from rajasthan travel down and sell jewellery on the beach aswell so basically you sont actually have to move

we moved to a place called ciarrans camp for a few nights of luxury.....which was nice apart from the guy in the thong who did some serious yoga moves infront of us every morning ( who wants to look at a guy turning himself inside out in ladies underwear when you're eating your fruit salad i ask you?). anyway, back into coco huts on stilts for the last 5 days run by a lovely goan family ( this time with a hammock that i could not get out of once i was in it)

It felt like we stayed for a month on the beach but eventually it had to end so we bought up th last bits and pieces of jewellery that we wanted and headed back to mumbai to eat some serious chocolate cake at a little place i know before my mum had to fly home.

the following day, my mum has her final masala dosa in the airport while i went to pick up pat. they got to see each other for about 20 minutes and then she had to check in...

........i loved traveling with my mum, sitting up at night talking about life (and the secret) over a giant bottle of kingfisher and a huge plate of tandoori king prawns........i cant wait for our next adventure........

........i love you mum ( i found $100 travelers cheques that id forgotten about.....wooo!!!!!....xx
