Hello from Tropical Queensland. Cairns. So we are officially on holiday!! From Airlie Beach we boarded the bus to take us to Townsville, what a blooming lovely day the weather turned out to be too.. and we were stuck on a bus for 4 hours! Hi All. So we arrived in Airlie Beach nice and early, so we sat out on the esplanade with breakfast and drinks until our room was ready, It was the only lovely day in Airlie we had!! Brisbane was nice enough, but we only had a short amount of time there, and the weather wasn't too great during our stay, so missed out on seeing and doing more. Apparently Queensland has approx 300 days of sunshine each year, which is good going, but to say the start of the year has been pretty dire for then with the floods and cyclone, I wasn't really expecting anything but good weather. After our 1.5 hour bus journey from Surfers, weve made it to Brisbane. and weve checked into an amazing boutique hotel in the Spring Hill area of the city.
