So i am finally in Sevilla!! It is so weird to think that I will be living here for the next three months! It is definitly going to take some time to get used to.The streets in Sevilla are crazy! The center of town is filled with little cobble stone walkways and little plazas everywhere. The first day in seville was a difficult one!I got dropped off at school by my senora and then after meeting with ISA and what not I was supposed to go home for lunch but had no idea how to get there!! I stayed and shopped around the town with my friend Carly. We bought some new jackets because we are so over wearing the SAME thing everyday! I eventually found my way home by 7:30 p.m. my senor made me a sandwich and then drove me back to the center of town where i was supposed to meet ISA for a welcome dinner and a night out on the town. I didnt make it to the dinner until 8:3o and was lost and so late. I am still struggling with communicating with my family. and with other locals. I forget so much so im really excited to start school tomorrow! I'm hoping everything i have already learned will come rushing back. Susie and I have felt some major culture shock in the past two days that we have been here. the first day i explained was hard and so was the next day/night as well. we woke up this morning really bummed out. We felt really really helpless.but we have decieded that this trip will be nothing but an emotional roller coaster. because today was perfect! We woke up at 2, ate lunch with our family around 3:30 and then they took us on a walk around the city. Our family is cute and so caring! We have a little baby who is adorable. the cutest thing i have ever seen. He is learning or names and when you say them he points to either one of us. So today we learned how to walk to our school, which bus stops to get on and off, where to pull money out of, how to work our cell phones, where to get the best drinks/tapas and an awesome hotel for any of u to stay at! All we needed was a little family support and thats exactly what we got. We even learned how to open our front door which has been the most difficult thing for us. Each night we have literally stood outside for 15 minutes trying to open it. It's now the easiest thing ever. I am in love with the spanish lifestyle. All the shops were closed today so everyone was just wandering the streets with no particular destination or reason. Everything is so slow paced and relaxed it is goingto be really nice especially when the whether gets warmer which will be in just a few weeks! The people here are also beautiful. The men especially, and everyone has such good fashion. even the children wear there little peacoats and boots everrywhere. I feel like i have been here for a month but it has only been one week. I have seen more/done more stuff in one week then I have in an entire year! I know things are only going to get better from here, and if we have another downer day, we know now that its all just part of the ride.
