Hi all

Last time i blogged we were in Taupo had a pretty good night out started with pre drinking some 50% vodka not wise i should know better at my age had a good night had a good dance got in about 4am and was up again at 7am urgh, got the bus to a place called river valley which was next to a river and stayed in a log cabin thing which had a giant bed for about 25 people had a nice cooked dinner and got an early night next day a few people went white water farting and the sun was out so we sunbathed next to the river, we left late afternoion and arrived in Wellington which was wet and horrible so we stayed in and watched inbetweeners on the laptop, next day we got up had lunch and went to a museum which was fun and best of all it was free we wspent most of the time in the kid sections playing dress up doing puzzles and playing with toys they also had a earthquake simulator which we saved til last but was actually quite rubbish, and they had a qiant squid which was cool, that night we had a nice steak dinner and went to the hostel bar for a few drinks nothing major, next morning we left Kally and Katie the 2 swindon girls and myself and Sarah got on the Ferry to the south island of new zealand the ferry crossing was a bit rough to start with but managed to find a place to sleep we drove down to a place called kaiterteri sorry my spelling of these places are shocking! it was nice n warm when we got there so went to the beach cooked chicken ceaser salad for dinner and went to the bar where there was live music, next day i was leaving for westport we left about 10am and i said bye to Sarah as she was staying another night, westport was a pretty pointless stop nothing to do we went to the supermarket had dinner watched mean girls and went to bed , next morning we moved on to another strange place called lake manipitha and stayed at this hostel which we had to ourselfs on the way down the whole bus had to decide on a fancy dress theme so we choose geeks and stopped off at a chairty shop and got our fancy dress stuff, got a whole outfit for 3 dollars which is 1 pound 50!

We arrrived and met the owner of the hostel Les who is an 86 year old guy who runs the place he cooked us all steak dinners with potato salds bread all for a fiver bless him, we then all got into our outfits and hit the pub he has a dukebox in the pub so we were in charge of the music :) everyone looked great was a very messy night and we all got very drunk next day we all very hungover got back on the bus starting to get a bit bored of the bus tbh the people are great just hate sitting on the bus, and started making our way to franz josef and arrived here about 1pm went and booked and paid for our glacier hikes i had planned on doing a half day but the driver told us u need to do a full day to see the most of the glacier so i went for a full day, checked into the hostel watched tele in the tv room and had an early night, yesterday we had to check in for the hike at 9am got all kitted up and were split into groups i went in the last 1 because of my knee and we started our 15k hike up the glacier i started getting blisters 10 mins in and we used crampons (spiky shoes) to walk on the ice i didnt really trust them and thought id fall over it was really hard work but it was amazing we reached as far as we could go at about 3.30pm and walking down was scary but we arrived back at the hostel about 6pm and we had included withour day a free session at the hot pools across the road to warm us up so we grabbed our swimming stuff and crossed the rd over to the hot pools 3 diff tempratures of 36,38 and 40 degrees was soo good but my blisters were so bad it killed getting in but did the muscles good, came back had a shower ate some noodles and went across to the pub which ios like a log cabin for a glass of wine before bed i slept like a log last night, woke up this morning did my washing chilled out cooked some lunch and now off for a nap! its a hard life!

Had an email from flight centre re Fiji they are saying its fine to still go so fingers crossed all will be good 1 more night here and on the move again tomorrow! then arrive in queenstown before i make my way back up to auckland to fly to Fiji!
