So it's the day after the day after the night before!! And we're all starting to feel a bit more human! The day of the Full Moon we took it pretty easy, more beach time, a late lunch at Lighthouse bungalows, a quick wander round the shops and then showered and changed ready for dinner. We ate out as per .. deciding what you want from the ever extensive menus 2 or 3 times a day never gets any easier, be so good to get a base in Sydney, be able to un pack, food shop and cook again! We finished up and headed back to our bar were Joe had promised to paint us in neon. A few buckets were had and much fun painting each other before having a few more beers on the balcony. Finally about 11.30 we headed down to the beach not quite knowing what to expect. Surprisingly there was no charge to get on to the beach but the view was completely different to other nights. Instead of being lots of groups at different bars there were people everywhere, bucket stalls screaming at you to use them and neon everywhere. I can't begin to imagine what one of the busier parties is like. We made plans of where to meet should we lose each other and headed out for a good time. Fortunately we had one camera between us so photos should appear on Facebook soon. (I was going to upload more of my photos today but the electric shock I got when I plugged in the camera made me think I'd wait.) Strangely some of the first people we bumped into were the Canadians from the 2nd GAP tour that Jess and Jonny had been on and then after that our friends from other nights in Phangan. We lost Jess almost instantly but the rest of us managed to stay together moving from music to music, playing on giant water slides, sharing a few buckets and at times just chilling on the beach. Eventually just after 6 the sun came up and we all decided it'd be a good idea to go to bed. Yesterday was a very lathargic day and an early night. Today is the last day the 5 of us will spend together (we haven't seen the boys and their cousins much recently) but the monsoon seems to be here and it's been raining heavily pretty much all night. Looks like our last night will be spent wandering the town in the rain, no doubt we'll have a last supper tonight and tomorrow I'll head to Koh Samui. HAve a couple of nights there and then back on the overnight train to Bangkok and off to Sydney! Scary but exciting times!!!
