So I arrived and was ready to "Stay Classy" ( you will only get this reference if you have watched Anchorman and if you haven't then SAY WHATTTTTTTT)

As soon as I was approaching San Diego on the plane…OMG I was blown away it looked stunning…plus the plane was literally that close to the buildings I did fear for my life for like 3 seconds (how precise)…so I arrived and headed off the hostel which is amazing by the way…..so hip (have I really just used that word) and trendy and very colourful……I did the usual (see last yrs blog) went off and got food for the 5 days and then mooched around the hostel…so many friendly people here.

So first day…..up early doors, food stuffed in face and off to explore on the Trolley Tour…….everyone is solo friendly here…I mean seriously its so nice and refreshing!!! off I went to my first stop in Balboa Park….amazing so much to see and do there….plus I got to see the big organ getting played..WOW! Then I went to Old Town San Diego and I swear you woulda thought I was in Mexico….it was just surreal….flamenco dancing (I was guna join in but Id left my dress at home), Tribal dancing, Singing…..sooo cultural and so much to see and of course the nerd in me loved all this!! and last call for the day was Little Italy…although not that little, and lo and behold there was a farmers market there so I was happy…..sampled (or shuved in my gob some home made local cheesecake…..now this is a bold statement but it was the BEST cheesecake Ive ever had!!!! So stick that in ya cake maker!!

So sorry aba me going to bed at like 8pm last night….seriously this being 30 lark is turning me into a early (well earlier) sleeper….or maybe its all the fresh air…I duno! Up and out again but this time at 6am…MENTAL I hear you yell (yeh all the way from here)…but I went to watch the final game of the season at 7am….and the rest is history!….nice 4 (twice) mile walk down to the harbour bay front…..words cant even explain this place but STUNNING comes close….went to seaport village and its just all so calming and I just sat for ages by the seafront and watched the world go by…OK I know cheesy wotsit alert - but honestly it was just unreal….sitting in the calm by the sea and just "being" nothing to do/think about…….well!!! Loving all this walking! Then the night came round…..got myself a little gang in the hostel haha (wanna be in my gang….sing along)an we went to the Coyote Ugly bar…..I cant even believe it - I danced on the bar!!! Yes I thought I was in the film swinging my hair (OK well maybe not Im not rapunzel) giving it beans……LOVED every minute of it…what an experience….SO HAPPY!!!

Beach Day!!!!! The beaches here are just amazing, so clean…..the water glistens in the sun and the sand is golden!! (picture it now…)…it seriously is like some American TV Program….everyone is either surfing, rollerblading or running down the boardwalk…..ME? I just lay in the sun and enjoyed the time out!!!

San Diego is such am amazing place, everyone is really friendly and this is 1 of the nicest hostels I have stayed in!!!!

So for now "Stay Classy" San Diego….another adventure in Portland awaits me

Ps oooooooo i totally forgot to say!! Move over CSI/The Bill an everything else.....im in a cop car so be on the look out! I wanna say i felt like Polly Page again but its more of anAmerican thing.....so ermmm yeh I was probably like the cops from Superbad!!!! (See pics)
