Have made it across to the south island via Wellington, and it is beautiful. Had a couple of nights in Picton which was lovely - stunning surrounding scenery of Queen Charlotte Sound, and managed a walk to Snout Point with vies over the sound. Bumped into Amanda (girl i met on 1st day in Lima) at the hostel there so had a good catch up - incredible really, the world is a small place!

This unpredictable nz weather - i was planning for sun the entire time!! Meant to be heading off for 3 days kayaking in Abel Tasman today but big storms have meant its been postponed, fingers crossed, until tomorrow. so, hanging around nelson an extra day in the wind and rain.....think may even head to cinema and see Borat in action! Then plans to head down west coast which i'm rally looking forward to - cannot believe that very nearly december.... before i know it it'll be christmas....
